Introduction

Welcome to Co-Pilot Stage 1: Data Preparation. In this stage, we will guide you through the initial steps of preparing and cleaning your data, which is crucial for ensuring accurate and reliable LCA results. Using Emvide's CSV generator, we will demonstrate how to input detailed product descriptions and build materials to set the foundation for your LCA.

In this video, you will learn how to:

  • Input detailed product descriptions and processes into the Emvide platform.

  • Upload your Bill of Materials (BOM) using the CSV generator.

  • Ensure your data is clean and well-prepared for the AI-powered LCA process.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Starting with the Emvide Platform:

    • Begin by logging into the Emvide platform. You will be using the Co-Pilot feature to streamline the data preparation process.

    • Explore the knowledge base for additional help and specific platform features as needed.

  2. Developing an LCA for a Mountain Bike Example:

    • In this example, we will be creating an LCA for a mountain bike. Ensure you have your support files ready, including the BOM and a detailed product description.

  3. Inputting Detailed Descriptions:

    • Navigate to the data input section of the Emvide platform.

    • Enter the product name and detailed description. Be as specific as possible about the processes involved, as this helps the AI function more effectively.

    • Example: Enter the product name (e.g., "Mountain Bike") and include a comprehensive description of the product and its components.

  4. Uploading the Bill of Materials (BOM):

    • Click on "Upload CSV" to start uploading your BOM.

    • Locate your BOM file (e.g., "Mountain_Bike_BOM.csv") and upload it to the platform.

    • Ensure the BOM is successfully uploaded. The platform will notify you once the upload is complete.

  5. Generating the CSV:

    • After uploading the BOM, click on "Generate CSV."

    • The system will take a few minutes to process the data. During this time, it cleans and prepares the data for the next stages of the LCA process.

Once your data is prepared and the CSV is generated, you are ready to move on to Co-Pilot Stage 2: AI-Powered LCA. In this next stage, you will see how the AI processes your data to generate preliminary LCA results quickly and efficiently.
