FAQs - Pricing and Account Usage
Please see below for common FAQs surrounding pricing and account usage.
What is a Node Credit, and how is it used in Emvide?
A Node Credit is a unit of measurement equivalent to creating, updating, or fetching LCIA indicators for a resource (such as a BOM item) or a process (e.g., a production step). Node Credits are consumed each time you perform these actions within the Emvide platform.
How are Node Credits allocated in each subscription tier?
Node Credits are allocated based on the subscription tier. For example, the Professional Tier provides up to 1,200 credits annually or 100 credits monthly. Business Tier users receive up to 6,000 credits annually or 500 credits monthly, and Portfolio Tier users get up to 30,000 credits annually or 2,500 credits monthly.
What happens if I run out of Node Credits before the end of my subscription period?
If you run out of Node Credits, you can purchase additional credit packs to continue your work without interruption. The pricing for these credit packs varies by tier.
Can I roll over unused Node Credits to the next billing cycle?
Yes, unused credits are rolled over to the next billing cycle and maintained as long as the subscription remains active.
What are the payment options available for Emvide subscriptions?
Emvide accepts payments via credit/debit card using the Stripe service and via BACs transfer. Accounts are activated upon payment in advance or receipt of a purchase order (PO) from verified customers.
What is the difference between Standard and Premium Support?
Standard Support is included free with all tiers and offers technical support within 1 business day, basic troubleshooting, initial setup assistance, regular updates, and access to an online resource library. Premium Support includes additional benefits like dedicated training, regular support checks, enhanced support including LCA verification, detailed training on complex LCA methods, strategic sustainability consulting, portfolio analysis, and customised support for developing sustainability strategies.
How do I purchase Premium Support hours?
Premium Support hours are purchased in packages. Available packages include Starter Pack (20 hours), Advanced Analysis (40 hours), Deep Dive (80 hours), Longer Term Support (200 hours), Pay As You Go, and Custom plans. Each package is priced according to the number of hours and the level of service provided.
Can I customise my Emvide subscription?
Yes, Emvide offers custom plans for Enterprise Tier customers. These plans can be tailored to include unlimited credits, custom user numbers, dedicated account managers, custom deployments, and enhanced security features. Contact our sales team to discuss your specific needs and obtain a customised proposal.
What happens to my remaining Node Credits if I upgrade my subscription tier?
When you upgrade your subscription tier, any remaining Node Credits from your previous tier will be carried over to your new subscription. The new tier's credit allocation will be added on top of your existing credits, providing you with a larger pool of credits to use immediately. This ensures that you do not lose any credits during the upgrade process and can continue your work without interruption.
What happens if I want to upgrade my Emvide subscription tier in terms of pricing and credits?
At Emvide, we offer two flexible options for upgrading your subscription tier, ensuring you have access to the credits you need without losing any that you've already paid for.
Option 1: Upgrade Within Your Current Licence Period
How It Works: You can pay the difference between your current tier and the new tier for the remaining licence period. For example, if you’re on the Business Tier (£18,000/year) and want to upgrade to the Portfolio Tier (£45,000/year), you’ll pay the difference of £27,000 for the additional 24,000 credits allocated within your current license period.
Credits: Any remaining credits from your current tier will roll over into the upgraded Portfolio Tier. This way, you don’t lose any credits during the upgrade.
Benefits: This option is perfect for early upgrading if you need more credits before your renewal date. You have the flexibility to revert back to a lower tier at the end of the license year if you wish.
Option 2: Start a New Subscription Period
How It Works: You can choose to start a fresh subscription at the new tier level. In this case, the subscription will have a new 12-month period starting from the upgrade date.
Credits: Any remaining credits from your current tier will be carried over into the new subscription, so you can continue using them without any interruption.
Benefits: This option is ideal for customers who want clarity and stability for the next 12 months, with no further recurring costs until the end of this new term.
With either option, Emvide ensures that you don’t lose any credits and can continue your analysis seamlessly. The choice between the two options depends on whether you prefer flexibility within your current licence period or a longer-term commitment with a fresh start.
